During a Full Circle Event that I covered, Zynga’s COO of Game Operations, Marcus Segal talked about his experiences while he was in Haiti where Zynga has provided educational and financial assistance after the earthquake. This is a shot of a video of him in Haiti where he went to see first hand how their efforts are having an impact. Did you know that Zynga is named after the founder’s dog? Day 257. September 14, 2010.

Who cares what Oprah does? She has lost all her credibility as far as
concerned. She pretends to care about people but actually cares only for
money and more money. I just wish she would drop the act and tell the
truth. I liked her better when she was real.

Whether one agrees with him or not, I think obvious he is genuine. I think he has a lot to say for those who will listen.

My husband is a hard worker, but he leaves his work at the door and pick up too many extra shifts when they come up. He realizes you must pair work with pleasure as well. I would never have married a workaholic for my sake and the sake of our children. It is not a healthy environment.

My dad was basically the definition of the worst workaholic you have ever met. He has worked 6-7 days a week, 10 hour + days since he was 18. He then filled his small amount of free time he could have spent with me and my mom on petty small town politics instead. My parents have been married for 38 years, but my dad has never really been home. He missed seeing me grow up. It was a huge inconvenience for him to close his store early on my wedding day, he have time to come to my 8th grade graduation, and he was kind of pissed about having to take off time from work to attend my high school and college graduation too. I might as well grew up without a dad. Hes far past the age for retirment, but hes still working 6 days a week. I will never ever subject my children to that type of home. be better off with no dad disturbing the balance of life with outrageous guilt gifts or a step dad be there for them.

There is no such thing as a "Haitian look." 100% Haitian, but often get asked if I am Latino (Latinos also have a definitive look. They look like anything from Sammy Sosa, Marc Anthony, & Fidel Castro). Both my maternal great grandmother were white, one was an immigrant from France, the other was a Haitian born French descended white lady, both married to black men. On my side we have some black mixed with some Arab ancestry. All that aside, I consider myself to be black Haitian American. Many of my aunts, uncles, and cousins come in a variety of complexions, hair textures, and facial features. From pale chalk white skin to black as pepper black and everything in between. Not all Haitians look like Wyclef Jean or Jean Betrand Aristide. In Haiti, we have black, white, Arab, Asian, and mixed race Haitians. So Sarodj is as Haitian as diri cola pwa (translation: rice and red beans).

Ok its the Oscars so of course there are going to be equally great actors but Denzel was just as deserving as Russell Crowe and he got it. He should have gotten it for Malcolm X but what happened that year, oh Al Pacino got it for Scent of a Woman & he deserved it.

Nemo and I walk alone (IWA) areTarja´s most popular NW and solo career songs, respectively. They resemble each other, both are quite slow and simple, less heavy. I like their studio versions but am annoyed by the way Tarja sings them live nowadays mannerism-like exaggeration.
I´m also sure that Nemo and IWA wouldn´t have gained such popularity if sung originally in an exaggerative way (e.g. IWA: Saimaa Open Air 2011; Nemo: Zlin 2012) instead of simple and beautiful singing.
